The Resilience Reading Circle is a space to nurture creative strategies for radical resilience in the face of climate emergency.

From poems to essays, manifestos to fiction, each week we will read something together and an invited host will share a creative task to kickstart a hands-on exploration of our theme. How can resilience strengthen our tools and vision to act?

Thurs 15 Oct 2020, 6-8pm: Circle hosted by Celia Turley, Creative Producer, Facilitator and Organiser with Green New Deal UK.

Weds 21 Oct 2020 6-8pm: Circle hosted by Zakiya McKenzie, Black and Green Ambassador, Writer & 2019 Forestry Commission ‘Writer in the Forest’

To accompany The Resilience Reading Circle, a Reading Room was open 12:00 - 5:00pm, Wednesday through to Sunday at Centre of Gravity throughout October.  The room contained curated resources on resilience from diverse perspectives for study and reflection. Visitors to the Reading Room were invited to suggest materials, photocopy works and lend thoughts to a growing communal resource.
